赫拉德·霍伦鲍特

赫拉德·霍伦鲍特（荷兰语：Gerard Horenbout；约1465年—1541年），弗拉芒细密画家。有许多证据认为赫拉德有可能就是苏格兰詹姆士四世画师[1][2]。
传记
[编辑]霍伦鲍特在根特居住和工作，并且以手抄本的插图画家闻名。他也制作彩色玻璃、壁毯、刺绣设计、铁制作品和镶板画。最早纪录到有关霍伦鲍特事迹的资料可追溯到1487年，因参与圣路加公会[1][3]。参与公会后不久，霍伦鲍特与玛哈丽塔·桑德斯（Margaretha Saunders）结婚，并育有六子，其中卢卡斯与苏珊娜后来也成为画家。其他孩子还有还有儿子埃洛伊（Eloy）和约里斯（Joris）[1]。
他至少有两个学徒，一个在1498年，一个在1502年。在1515年，他担任萨伏依公爵夫人玛格丽特的画家，也曾短暂的在英王亨利八世宫廷里工作。1521年，丢勒带了和赫拉德之女苏珊娜有手抄本插图拜访他。他的儿子卢卡斯也是一名知名画家[3]。
他的太太桑德斯于1529年去世[4][5]。他为此做了一个黄铜匾牌，后来发现于伦敦富勒姆的全圣教堂[6]。
赫拉德逝世于1540年或1541[1]。

- 《苏格兰詹姆斯四世时祷书》，袖珍画，约1502和1503年之间[7]。
- 《斯福尔扎时祷书》，为萨伏依公爵夫人玛格丽特所作的16幅袖珍画，1517年至1520年间，现藏于大英图书馆[8]。
